Long bio About 200 words

Cloud Of I is the musical vision of singer, songwriter and sound healing facilitator Yuli Shafriri. Fully live, the band weaves original songs and tribal ecstatic dance with music from the Middle East, the Sahara, Brazil and the Andes, touched by desert-psychedelic rock. Each set moves from meditative, heart-opening songs into full celebration: a space to dance, sing, pray and feel together.

Yuli draws on traditional singing from many cultures, and her voice and improvisation carry audiences somewhere dreamy and open. Itay Spiegel (guitar, flute; Macumba, Feu) weaves Mediterranean and Saharan groove, soaring solos and wide soundscapes around her voice. Ben Ben Franklin (drums, percussion; Sarava, Feu, Shimon Lev Tahor) blends African, Brazilian and global rhythms with a jazz sensibility. Live, a worldwide collective of musicians joins them, so the band grows from intimate trio to full ensemble.

Their debut EP Gazing (Batov Records, London, 2021) was played on BBC Radio 6 Music (Gideon Coe) and KEXP. Since then Cloud Of I has played Medicine Festival (UK), Ancient Trance (DE), Guardians (SI) and Hvar Jazz Festival (HR), toured Europe and Central America, and held residencies in Costa Rica and Guatemala. Their new album arrives in spring 2027 on TaOr Music.
